This sculpture of a young superhero sitting outside Mount Sinai Hospital in New York was created by League artist Beñat Iglesias Lopez and his 4-year old son, Teo.

“While playing superheroes at the park, [my son] wanted to fight the coronavirus but couldn’t quite figure out how, neither could he put a face to it, so the whole thing seemed a bit abstract for him,” Benat told The National.
The two ended up collaborating on this piece, which Teo even signed after it was completed. The sculpture now sits on a bench (complete with an umbrella someone placed to protect it from the rain) showing appreciation to passing medical workers.
“Every single person can make a difference and help others during difficult times,” Beñat continues, “by simply applying their own personal skills and taking action.”
