League artist Juliette Sandleitner didn’t just cut-and-paste her Bernie Sanders meme using Photoshop. She created it the analog way—with a ballpoint pen! Even with all the countless drawing options, sometimes a blank page and a humble ballpoint pen gets the job done better.
Juliette studied with instructor Jason Yarmosky, whose online class “Drawing the Portrait with Light” aims to “explore portraiture through the observation of light and shadow.”
